What is Cape Cod Lacrosse?

Cape Cod Lacrosse is an organization that specializes in offering the opportunity to play or learn how to improve playing lacrosse for players of all ages.  It all began when I was coaching at Colgate University in 1996 as an assistant coach and playing professionally in the National Lacrosse League (NLL).
I made the decision to start a camp here on the Cape as a way of giving back to the community in which I grew up.  I didn't have the opportunity to play lacrosse until I was introduced to it as a high school student, because at that time there was no youth lacrosse available on Cape Cod.  I wanted to be able to teach the game to individuals that were now playing youth lacrosse in the area and bring in high quality coaches from the college and professional ranks.  Since that time CCL has grown considerably offering year round programs to those just being introduced to the game as well as those who possess great enthusiasm for the sport.  From players in grade school through adult, CCL has something for everyone including camps, clinics, private lessons, summer leagues, tournaments, winter indoor leagues and a select teams in Team Cape Cod.
I carry a great sense of pride thinking of what CCL has become over the years and I couldn't have done it alone!!!  There have been countless people that have played a part in CCL's success.  I have been very careful whenever I have asked someone new to be a part of our programs.  I only include those that I feel know the game well enough and also represent the game in the proper manner, which include: being a teacher of the game; carry a positive and enthusiastic approach; actions do the speaking, not the accomplishments; their interests are in coaching, not themselves.  These attributes are what make the entire Cape Cod Lacrosse experience positive for everyone involved!!!!
