Cape Cod Lacrosse has been an opportunity for me to give back to the community that helped me start a career in the sport of lacrosse. I have two main objectives in the programs I run with CCLax: to provide top-notch instruction in all of our programs and
All games will consist of two 25 minute halves with a 5 minute halftime and 5 minutes in between games.
TOURNAMENT RULES
No substitution horns, all substitutions on the fly.
No time-outs in the final 5 minutes of a half. Each team is granted one timeout per game.
NCAA rules apply for Face-Off procedures and flag down situations.
There will be continuation on all flag down situations. Whistle will blow when possession is gained by the penalized team when flag is down.
NCAA clearing rules. 30 seconds to advance ball into offensive box. Only stalls, no counts from that point on.
Winning team must keep it in the box in final 2 minutes of game.
No more than 4 long poles on the field at one time for one team.
TOURNAMENT FORMAT
All teams will play 3 games against teams in their pool on Saturday in a round robin format.
Pools Gold & Silver will compete in Tier 1 and teams in Pools Blue & Red will compete in Tier 2.
After Saturday’s Pool Play, Tier 1 & Tier 2 teams will be seeded 1 – 8. Tier 1 & Tier 2 teams will compete seperately in single elimination playoff brackets. Here is Sunday's Playoff Schedule.
Tier 2 Quarter Finals - 9am
Tier 1 Quarter Finals - 10am
Tier 2 Semi Finals - 11am
Tier 1 Semi Finals - 12pm
Tier 2 Finals - 1pm
Tier 1 Finals - 2pm
Any team that pulls a NO-SHOW on Sunday, will not be asked back to the event in )the future. Results from the 2018 tournament will influence seeding at the 2019 Cape Cod Lacrosse Battle for the Buoy.
